Lap Swimming

Lap swimming is a great form of exercise. The lap pool is 25 yards long (72 lengths = 1 mile) and 6 lanes wide. There are at least 1-2 lap lanes available all day. Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30-10:30 am there may only be one lane due to classes. The best times for lap swimming are Monday-Friday 6-8 am, 12-4 pm (school year) & 7-9 pm, Saturday 8-9 am and Sunday 12-1 pm. You will often need to share a lane. Kickboards and fins are available for lap swimmers only. They are not to be used as toys or floatation devices by children.

Water Jogging

Both the lap pool and the leisure pool are great places for water jogging. The leisure pool is 4 feet deep and with its warmer temperature is a great place for light jogging or standing exercises. The lap pool is 3’9” at the shallow end and 12’ at the deep end. You can jog on your own or we have noodles or flotation belts you can use. Noodles and belts are not the same as a lifejacket and are not to be used as a lifesaving device.
