City of Saline Online Tax and Assessment Data Website
- Michigan State law provides that the public has a right to access appropriate records and information possessed by City government. The General Property Tax Act provides that all property assessment rolls and property appraisal cards be available for public inspection and copying. Information that is not confidential and is available during an in-person visit to City Hall may be posted for electronic access through a third party's web page. The City of Saline provides assessment and tax data information as a service to residents and businesses located in the City free of charge. On-line data is updated on a weekly basis.
- The City of Saline does not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any information published by this system, and shall not be held liable for any losses caused by reliance on the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of such information. Portions of such information may be incorrect or not current. Any person or entity that relies on any information obtained from this system does so at his/her own risk.
- The City of Saline collects property taxes from July 1st, the year of any given tax, through February 28th of the following year. Any taxes still due on March 1st are then turned over to the Washtenaw County Treasurer for continued collection. Any taxes still showing due on this site only indicate that, as of March 1st, they had not been paid to the City of Saline. Further inquiry as to the status of these taxes must be directed to the Washtenaw County Treasurer at (734) 994-2520.
- Tax information is updated daily while assessment information is updated weekly. Some special assessments, such as water billing, lawn care or snow removal charges, may not be reflected in the tax statements. Current year tax payments will only show payments at the time of update. Assessment data, such as changes in the Principal Residence Exemption, value, owner and sale data, may not be current. Lot dimensions on an individual property may not be indicated if the parcel is somewhat irregular in size (indicated by the numeral “9”).
- Industrial properties with an Industrial Facility Tax Exemption certificate may have additional value on other parcels. If you have any questions or need information on personal property assessments and taxes, or information not otherwise available through the web site, please contact the Treasurer’s Office at (734) 429-4907, ext 2219, or the Assessor’s Office at (734) 429-4907, ext 2208.
