Economic Development Corporation
The purpose is to alleviate and prevent conditions of unemployment; to assist and retain local industries and commercial enterprises; to strengthen and revitalize the economy of the City of Saline; to provide means and methods for the encouragement and assistance of industrial and commercial enterprises in locating, purchasing, constructing, reconstructing, modernizing, improving, maintaining, repairing, furnishing, equipping, and expanding in the City of Saline; and to encourage the location and expansion of commercial enterprises in the City of Saline.
The EDC board has eleven members, serving six-year terms and meets one Monday in February, April, May, and November.

Four “regular” meeting dates for EDC, TIFA, and LDFA for the upcoming calendar year have
been scheduled as follows:

Meetings are at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at 100 North Harris Street.
