The Saline Police Department has initiated a safe watch program.  This program has been designed to gather pertinent and recent information on individual(s) who may have a condition or disability that would cause them to wander from their safe environment.  The Saline Police Department is committed to the safety of all our residents.  Currently this service is provided to community members within the City of Saline.

How it works:

  • Strictly voluntary
  • Follow the link and complete the fillable form
  • Option to download a photograph
  • Once the information is gathered, the information you provided will be entered in our dispatch center and attached to the address provided as a “premise flag.”
  • A “premise flag” prompts the dispatcher to look for additional information for that address.  For example, if you have a family member that is “non-verbal” this information will be provided to the responding officer prior to arrival by our dispatcher.  If you have a family member with dementia, for example, you can provide us a photograph so when officers are responding to your address, they can begin looking for your loved one while responding.  The photograph can also be shared with other officers on duty who will also be responding to the area to search for your family member as well.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Deputy Police Chief Marlene Radzik.  mradzik@cityofsaline.org.
