Water and Sewer Information
Meters are read in December, March, June and September. The City of Saline Department of Public works reads water meters by walking the neighborhoods to obtain actual meter reads, during the September billing an inside and outside read is requested to verify accuracy. If you are home all city employees can produce identification and will request access to your inside reader. A card will be left for you to obtain the read if you are not available.
Bills are mailed the 1st of January, April, July and October bills are due and payable without penalty for 30 days after the bills are mailed.
Bills are due February, May, August and November all bills are due on the first day of the month by 5p.m. If the first falls on a weekend or a holiday the bills are due on the next business day. After the due date all bills receive a 10% penalty and .75% interest on current charges due.
Water/Sewer Rates: The fixed quarterly billing charges for all users, the quarterly readiness-to-serve charges based on meter size, and the consumption charge based on metered water usage stated in dollars per thousand gallons. Effective June 1, 2021
